I really like your writing about death, Prof. It just came up like a candle in the dark. As a Javanese, such proverb is very familiar and I'm actually not too concerned with it. What I'm concerned with more is what comes before death itself. A wise man came to me one day and whispered some words of wisdom (of course not the Beatles' 'Let it be'. He said: Remember these five before other next coming five come to you: your wealth before your poverty, your chance before your failure, your youth before your old, your health before your sickness, and your life before your death.
The most important thing is not what to do and what to know after death comes, but how we make myself knowledgeable in religion matters and how we make ourselves fit in God's doctrines to secure the way to reach the best place after death.
Sorry. it's just an opinion.
